Gold Standard Framework

Grosvenor House has been awarded the very prestigious National Standard four times for the way we plan and deliver care for people in their latter stages of life.

We are one of only a handful of homes across England to have achieved this high standard again and again.

This benchmark award ensures that when you choose Grosvenor House, you are making the very best decision for you and your loved ones.

You only need to visit Grosvenor House for yourself to see at first-hand how your family can benefit in so many ways. We plan ahead from your very first visit to ensure that your family’s personal wishes are taken care of.

Always upholding your personal choice.

The comforts of home

Grosvenor House was established in 1985 and has been family owned and operated by its founders since that time.

Over the past 35 years, we have become renowned for our informal, homely atmosphere, and the supportive care that we offer to all our residents. Our purpose-built home is situated in the picturesque riverside village of East Stockwith, with pleasant gardens surrounded by an uninterrupted rural aspect.

Our home enjoys all the benefits of village life, with a church, local bar and restaurant, whilst the town of Gainsborough is just 3 miles away.

A big supporting family

Many of our team have worked with us for over 20 years and many more for over 10 years, we are all part of the same big family who provide care and support for our friends and relatives.

Person Centered Care

We assume very little and always go out of our way to find new and innovative ways to design and deliver care around individuals needs.

Award winning care and facilities for all to enjoy

We are a Gold Standard care home and have four times been awarded the very prestigious National Standard, relating to the way we plan and deliver care for people in their latter stages of life.

Great local amenities

Our residents enjoy all the benefits of village life, such as the church, local bar and restaurant, and riverside walks.

The town of Gainsborough is just 3 miles away and we are well connected by local transport links, as well as our own Minibus.

Incredible facilities

Grosvenor House boasts modern, industry-leading facilities, with 41 places for residents, and additional spaces for those in need of Day Care.

We are a community

We are much more than just a building; we are a community of people who have grown to become part of the local neighbourhood.

If you want to know more about us and why we do what we do, please come and visit us at any time. We welcome visitors to come meet us, share a drink and have a chat.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.

We feel the need to tell everybody about the exceptional care our sister Grace is enjoying at Grosvenor House. We cannot emphasise enough how all the stresses and strains of the last few years have been forgotten since Grace became a member of the Grosvenor House family. Every time we or other family members come to visit her she seems somehow to have regained all the fun, laughter, singing and dancing of her yesteryears, there is real warmth and compassion in this home. Our sister has made so many new friends in the Grosvenor House community; we have to laugh when she tells us she cannot stop and gossip all day as she has got friends to see. It is the whole team at Grosvenor House that have made Grace’s later life so enjoyable. We cannot even to start to count how many times the staff have gone that extra mile, for Grace and the whole of her family. Grosvenor House is just a lovely experience for everybody!

Good morning everyone!

We are in the process of contacting all family members over the next couple of days to let you know about the new and exciting ways we are going to be keeping touch.

We have created a new family and friends private group on Facebook. This private group will allow us to share pictures, videos and messages from your loved ones as well as allowing you to get involved too! This group will be for current family members and friends.

We will be sharing snippets of our daily lives and all lovely things we have got planned in the coming weeks.

We are also introducing Skype into Grosvenor House so you can have those much needed chats with your family, especially under these difficult circumstances.

We cannot wait to get this all up and running!

The community has definitely pulled together in recent days!

We have picked up this lovely lot, along with lots of letters and cards that children aged from as young as 1 years old all the way up to 15, have drawn and written.

These were handed out to the residents and they were over the moon!

We are hoping to start a pen pal scheme with some of the residents already starting to write their replies!

How does Grosvenor House meet my care and support needs?

Firstly our care is person centred, that means we do not ask people to fit into our systems, we design our planning and delivery around you, you will see lots of ways in which our care and support follows the very best practice be that in how the day runs; meal times and drinks; wellbeing; active ageing etc.

“We really appreciate the love and care you all give to Mum, Grosvenor House really is a home “A big pat on the back and Thank you to all”

“Could not have been better supported (me), nor better cared for (Mum)”

“Such tremendous kindness given”

We invest in the very latest care planning and daily records systems.  Not only does this ensure we deliver the best service we can, it is also a great quality control and quality assurance system so that we absolutely minimise the times when we are not functioning at our very best.

Is the home Accessible and Inclusive?

Grosvenor House is really easy to get to; we are about 3 miles north of Gainsborough adjacent to the River Trent. Car parking is not a problem nor is cycle parking.  You can also ring Call Connect Bus West Lindsey on 0345 234 33 44 to arrange transport; there is also a bus service, bus 61 Susworth to Gainsborough. Grosvenor House also has its own minibus “The Grosvenor Express” with wheelchair tail lift which is available for all manner of journeys.

We design our services around our clients; we can meet the needs of nearly all people with older age-related support and care requirements.
