A month of festivities!
December has been such a busy month for us here at Grosvenor House, and we would not of wanted it any different!
We kicked the festive period off with gingerbread baking (and eating of course) which was a huge success!
Since then we have had parties, pantomimes, christmas carol singing and even Laurence the piano player come to visit us!
Laurence was able to visit our home using the Lateral Flow Testing Kits which enable us to receive a result within 30 minutes to determine whether he can enter our home safely. Laurence performed some Christmas classics alongside some of our all time favourites, including Vera Lynn!
The room was filled the sounds of incredible music and people singing and as we looked round there was huge smiles on everyone’s faces as they listened and danced. To have Laurence back in our home wasn’t just a nice afternoon, it was also a glimmer of hope that things are starting to return to a better place.
We had high hopes of being able to hold a pantomime outdoors, however restrictions prevented this. We did not let this stop us from bringing the pantomime to us! We created our very own cinema tickets with help from the fabulous Charmaine at Lil Bit Rough Round The Edges. We enjoyed Jack and the Beanstalk and enjoyed the interval even more! In the interval we made sure our drinks trolley was brimming with all of the good stuff, baileys, sherry and Prosecco! Megan donned our usherette tray filled with ice cream sundaes from our very own machine. We will not let these restrictions get in the way of us getting to the good stuff!
Christmas has looked very different for all of us this year and we have truly missed seeing our families however, at Grosvenor House we always know how to dance in the rain! We have had a truly magical time and have created so many golden moments together I know that we will all treasure!
