“We feel the need to tell everybody about the exceptional care our sister Grace is enjoying at Grosvenor House. We cannot emphasise enough how all the stresses and strains of the last few years have been forgotten since Grace became a member of the Grosvenor House family. We cannot even to start to count how many times the staff have gone that extra mile, for Grace and the whole of her family. Grosvenor House is just a lovely experience for everybody!”

“Mum was sent out of hospital on palliative care, she has responded so well to the kindness of the all the staff, the care and dedication to mum is brilliant. The nursing home is bright, cheerful, clean and so well decorated and furnished. My mum is safe, really happy and improving in health every day. So wonderful to see. A massive thank you to everyone at Grosvenor House, it is really appreciated.”

“Our father was only at Grosvenor House for around 10 weeks but the care could not have been better. From the moment he arrived we were treated with kindness and consideration. Nothing was ever too much trouble. In his last 24 hours of life both myself and siblings were with him, we were cared for as if we were members of the family. My father died peacefully.”

“I would like to thank all of you at Grosvenor House for the care, kindness and compassion given not only to Mum but also to me over the past two and a half years and more especially in the last 3 very difficult weeks. I do not know how you all do what you do day after day and with often little thanks. I am so very grateful to you all more than you will ever know and it is only with all your support I have been able to get through this. Thank you all once again.”

“I was immediately impressed by the comfortable well designed setting at Grosvenor House and by the number of staff in various roles. Close attention to all residents is constant and notably friendly with a genuinely family feel. All facilities are readily accessible and every assistance is given. I cannot think of way in which this excellent home could be improved it would be my first choice for myself if I needed full time care.”

“After Mum spent 4 months in another care home all I can say is the difference is amazing. As the previous reviewer stated I wished she had gone to them earlier. I know mum is not going to be as independant as she was before but she did more in 3 weeks than she did in the 4 months in the other home. The events that are designed to make residents take part actually happen and the staff encourage every one to take part, even if they are in bed they get them there. Thank you for making my mum not only happy but feeling cared for.”

“Since my mum joined Grosvenor House in April 2022 my mum has done nothing but improve. My only regret is not getting my mum to Grosvenor House sooner. I couldn’t give it a higher recommendation.”

“I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Grosvenor for all the care and support they give to mum, the home is beautifully decorated and really feels like a home from home, nothing is too much trouble to ensure mum is made to feel safe and comfortable but she is still able to retain a feeling of independence. Mum has been able to bring in some of her own furniture and ornaments so her room feels like ‘hers’. The food is excellent and hot drinks and smiles always available.”

“What an absolutely wonderful care home this is! From the first meeting to assess mum’s needs, it was obvious just how much the staff care for their residents. The knowledge that the nursing team had of Parkinson’s enabled mum to receive the care specific to her needs. Although mum was nearing the end of her life, what little time she had left was enhanced greatly by the care she received from all staff at Grosvenor House. As a family, we are truly grateful to everyone here for looking after our mum so well and welcoming us whenever we visited. Everyone here works so hard but they do so with a smile and always found time to update us on mum, or stop for a friendly chat. Thank you all for making our mum’s last few weeks peaceful and for doing so with so much care and empathy!”

“I live at home with my big dog Pip – who is a boxer cross Labrador. I love Pip to pieces but I do get lonely and I do need some support. As and when I need help, I just phone Grosvenor Care and they pop round and help me. They also now come round and pick me and Pip up and I go to the care home to spend a few lovely hours with the other ladies and gentlemen. If it’s a nice day, we spend time in the garden and enjoy the wonderful lunch on offer too. ”
