Grosvenor House has always looked for opportunities to make our home more sustainable. Our journey began in 2007 with the installation of a ground-source heat pump, and in 2023, we took a further step forward by commissioning an independent decarbonisation and energy efficiency report.
This led to our collaboration with a local Gainsborough-based specialist to implement a groundbreaking Air-to-Air Heat Pump System with Heat Recovery and Smart Controls.
This innovative system significantly reduces our energy consumption while maintaining optimal conditions throughout the home.

We understand the importance of a comfortable environment for health and well-being, particularly for older adults.
This is why we have installed a state-of-the-art air conditioning and climate control system in every resident and communal room, making us one of the few care homes in the East Midlands to offer this level of comfort.
Comfortable Heating Systems
Our advanced system enables us to provide personalised room temperatures, ranging from 24°c during the day to 16–18°c at night.
This improves sleep quality, reduces health risks, and enhances daily comfort

Pioneering Sustainable Innovation Since 2007
Our sustainability journey began over 15 years ago with the installation of a ground-source heat pump, long before it became a trend. Since then, we’ve continuously pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in eco-friendly care.
In 2023, we partnered with an energy efficiency consultancy to carry out a full decarbonisation review of our home. This led to the implementation of a high-performance Air-to-Air Heat Pump System with Heat Recovery and Smart Controls – a major leap forward in reducing our carbon footprint without compromising comfort.

We’re harnessing the power of the sun to create a cleaner, more efficient home. Our installation of solar PV panels has significantly reduced our reliance on the national grid, resulting in a 50% reduction in carbon emissions, equivalent to 31.3 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
This shift not only helps protect the environment but also delivers substantial savings on our energy bills, enabling us to reinvest directly into what matters most: outstanding food, enriching activities, and the highest standard of care.
