Surprise Party!
July was Carers Weeks and we thought that there is no better way to celebrate our staff, than with a good old party! We had an incredible buffet by Zena’s Top Nosh, complete the with the biggest chocolate cake we have ever seen! As we were planning our party, we came across “Hero’s of 2020” range by Sterling Mint. These commemorative coins were inspired by the George Cross Design. Each member of our staff was gifted one of these coins as a token of appreciation for everything they have gone, for our residents in our care home.
Chick update
Our chicks have changed from tiny balls of fluff into smaller chickens in the space of just 3 weeks! They have started to lose their baby fluff and are replacing it with their adult feathers.
In the short weeks, we have had our chicks, they have developed funny personalities, and are loving the bustle of daily life here at Grosvenor House.
We are loving spending time with them every day, these chicks are never short of a cuddle or two!
Summer Loving
Of course, we had to take full advantage of the warm weather whilst it is here and has a Grosvenor House BBQ! Our revamped garden was the perfect venue for the day with our alfresco seating area under our giant parasol. We enjoyed burgers and sausages fresh from our local butchers, freshly baked buns and salads.
Summer cocktails were flowing and the sound of laughing and singing to our jukebox filled the garden as we simply enjoyed the summer afternoon! We believe it is important for our residents to enjoy a range of activities at our care home.
